Man, one of the songs that usually makes me cry came on my playlist, lol. It;s such a sad song! But yeah, apparently Pearl Jam redid it, and I wanna hear it, but DC++ isn't working. But it's that song, Last Kiss, and it's by J Frank Wilson & The Cavaliers. Oh, I'm listening to the pearl jam one now, but I like the original one better. Except I feel the original was is too fast.
We were out on a date in my daddy's car We hadn't driven very far There in the road straight up ahead A car was stalled the engine was dead I couldn't stop so I swerved to the right I'll never forget the sound that night The screaming tires the busting glass The painful scream that I heard last
Oh where oh where can my baby be The Lord took her away from me She's gone to heaven so I got to be good So I can see my baby when I leave this world
When I woke up the rain was pouring down There were people standing all around Something warm flowing through my eyes But somehow I found my baby that night I lifted her head she looked at me and said 'Hold me darling just a little while' I held her close I kissed her our last kiss I found the love that I knew I have missed Well now she's gone even though I hold her tight I lost my love my life that night
IT IS HORRIBLE!
Anyways, today was an eventful day. I got up and played DDR to burn some cals (it's easy to play DDR on weds. cause I don't have class so I can play as long as I want and shower whenever). I read what I had to for Hamlet, and then went to price chopper, and I dunno how I drive like...almost a mile before I noticed the parking violation stuck under my windshield. But yeah, it was total bullcrap. So I went to the parking office later and she said I can appeal it, so I did. I got the proper decal, which if the university were, you know, adequate, they could have given to me in the first place. But the lady was nice and she told me how to make the appeal and stuff, so that was useful.
Tonight I have to read some stuff for my Hamlet class and also I want to start my linguistics homework. But right now, I am in a rare good mood, and I don't want to spoil it by frustrating myself with really really really hard linguistics, lol.[mud]: peaceful [myuzIk] ♪: No Man's Land- Sufjan Stevens

YAY! My first difficult thing is past!
We had a presentation to do in intro to writing today, it was the final. We also had an essay to do/rewrite, wich I finished last night. It was so funny, chepaitis' comment was something about how I keep switching from past to present tense, which I know I always have a problem with, but as I am reading it I am like "I don't see what she's talking about, I haven't had to change anything yet. I'm entirely in the past- ooooh there we go..."
You guys, while the first 5 pages were in the past, the last 2 were in present ~_~ How the fuck does one do that?
Also, my story was about a soldier during the Hundred Years War, which was between france and england, but at the end, she said that she had read it to be a native american warrior, but she was confused as to why they prayed to the lord at the end. So she thought maybe it was a fantasy world, and so I would have to delve in deeper.
So...if it's not native american, it's completely made up? hahaha I am honestly going to miss that lady...the university isn't letting her come back after next semester =( But honestly, she grows on you, lol.
So remember when I posted about my first group doing a thing with throwing meat around and stuff? Well, I did eave them, and I did a presentation by myself cause no other group would take me in. I told a story about a dream that I had,and there was audience participation and I kinda acted it out and everything, so it was fun. I could have done better, because I was planning it out in excruciating detail last night, and it would have been awesome if it weren't for my stage presence. Basically, I try to get all thoughts out of my head and into the open as quickly as possible, lol.
So yeah, I forgot some, and I didn't go deep enough into other parts, but overall it went pretty well, and I'm glad some people out there would participate =) They were awesome, and it was a bunch of people in the class that I like, haha
I dunno if it really did too well, but Dr chepaitis is a story teller, so she'll either be like "oh, I like when people tell stories~" or "the was the WORST example of story telling EVER!" even though I saw her laughing a few times, so that's good.
As for the group I left, well...something happened to them and the person forgot the meat and stuff that they needed. The slideshow was gross (they had pictures from slaughterhouses and a few times I wanted to vomit) and they threw the ground beef at a blackboard and at each other. Basically, it didn't even look artistic. It made them look like savages, and it was disgusting. I'm not the only one in the class who thought that either. One girl began to cry. It was also a lot to clean up, even though they didn't use NEARLY as much meat as they originally planned. They only had one package of beef.
It makes my stomach queasy though. I feel it would have been so much better if they had made it like...an awareness performance or something, about animal abuse. But no, they just left it for what it was, and that's it.
The only thing I am really worrying about now is my other english performance. I dunno if I actually told about it yet; we're doing act 1 scenes 4 & 5 from Hamlet. I get to be hamlet! That's a lot of monologues, and they're even edited a bit. I don't think it's going to be that great, but it was a lot of fun preparing, and everyone in my group is nice =)
But that's not till the 21st,so I shall slack off till then, like Harry and Ron would do (but still study my lines...)[mud]: content [myuzIk] ♪: I always seem to finish when the songs are changing

So today has been a pretty good day! I got my english midterm play back, and I had gotten an A on it! YAY! I wanted to run back to my quad humming "I've got a Golden Ticket, but instead I just walked back to my quad humming "I've got a Golden Ticket". I also took a psych exam today that turned out to be relatively easy, but it has only been 2 weeks since the last one so there wasn't really too much material to study. I have a choral concert on Sunday...we are singing Missa Brevis by Mozart.
Halloween was good! Well, monday wasn't that great cause Meg and I had bought tickets to what we thought was a party but it turned out to be a concert (which meant no free food which meant we stayed for less than 5 minutes. Plus, the band kinda sucked even though they're apparently well known *shrugs*)
But we had the most fun running around campus in our costumes! Meg went as the creepy ghost Grudge lady, and she scared people and it was awesome! I went as a villain. I have pics, they're at the end of the post
On halloween, meg's roommate, christina, and her friends went running around campus too, so we went with them. We went into the lecture centers where we encountered NINJAS! One of them chased me all around cause he was summoning spirits and crap and that just wasn't fair cause I didn't know ninja's could do that and I was unarmed! So I did what any smart villain would do and I ran away from him. But he caught me...I am ashamed, haha
These next few days might be a bit stressful. Meg has a hellalot of homework and stuff, and I have a paper to finish for my intro to "writing" class (this is actually the only writing assignment we have) and my mom, brother, nancy, pete and jer are coming up for the concert on sunday
I registered for all my classes next semester. They tried to give me shit cause they have a rule against seniors signing up for 100 level courses, which I can understand a bit, but when that class is a requirement, I think there should be an exception.
So yeah, next semester I am taking: Stats in Psych Intro to English studies (I couldn't get that requirement waived, in spite of me taking a 400 level course at the moment *sighs*) Italian II Modern Japanese Lit in Translation (with meg and christina at friggin 8:45) Intro to Phonology

Today was an okay day...kind of plain, lol
I am getting kind of upset with my judaic studies class. I don't like history, and this professor makes it tedious cause he is completely random and goes on tangents, and doesn't really focus on if anything is more important, so who knows what the quiz next tuesday will be on.
Linguistics was pretty cool! We started phonology, which is like...word structure and where sounds are. Okay, so it's dorky-cool. Like, get this. Hold your hand in front of your mouth and say "kite" (which phonetically is spelt [kayt]). You shoudl feel a puff of air on your hand on the "k" sound. Now, hold your hand in front and say "mike". AHA! there is not as strong a puff of air! Why is this?? Well, phonology shoudl help explain that (i hope) Also, here is something! Say the word "fan" and focus on the "a" now say "fat" and again, focus on the "a". Hear the difference? Now, say the words slowly with emphasis on the As. They sound different (or they should) because the "n" is a nasal consonant, and that changes the a before it!
/useless information
After that, I went to the camps senter and donated blood. I realized a bi to late that I may have donated a bit too soon, lol. I think you are supposed to wait 58 days before donating again, and...I can't remember the date of my last donation. But oh well. I found out my blood pressure is 142/64 and I have no idea what that means but...if that's ever a final jeopardy question, you know the answer. The lady who was taking care of me was talkative, but kinda quiet sometimes, so I wasn't too sure of what she was saying and it took me awhile to answer the questions. Also, she had to ask for my phone number 3 times because at first I gave my moms, then my dads, then my cell, which was the right answer.
As long as I don'tthink about the needle I am pretty good. I just wish that there would be someone there to stand by me that I could talk to, cause then I just focus on the sensation I get from it, which, while not particularly painful, is far from comfortable.
After the blood-giving, I went to sit and read. The book I am going through now is kinda crazy and it leaves me going "wtf" a lot, lol. Then I had chorale, which wasn't a good time for me because of the fact that I was missing a pint of blood, and therefore got dizzy whenever I took a deep breath. Also, pobably unrelated, my mouth was really dry =/
After chorale, meg and I walked to her room, where she got ready for work and I started off to the seminar on Technical Writing. That was interesting and enlightening, but I am still unsure if I would enjoy doing that for my future. I'll have to get more info.
The lady reminded me of Mrs. Espisito, my 8th and 11th grade english teacher, lol.
Dinner was kinda crappy tonight. It was supposed to be "cultural heritage night", but as far as I was concerned, it was a tad racist. Fried chicken?? Come on! lol and Mac n Cheese? What culture is that? Oh, yes, celebrate your american culture! Newsflash: America has no culture! It is a brutal, sloppy conglomerate of other cultures run by prudes and puritans that does nothing but fuck up the rest of the world.
I got all that from dinner. wow.
AAAANYWAYS, after that, I got an ice cream sunday for megan, went to her room, and left it in her freezer. Then, I caught my bus, and now I am back here! I plan on posting the preface to my new story tonight, we'll see how that goes, lol[mud]: sleepy
